Elsa was positive, she was far from any kind of civilized society. Far from any smaller town or village, far from a kingdom of any sort. She was alone out here in these woods, not withstanding her sister and the caravan of followers she had led throughout her global tour. Soldiers and servants, a handmaiden or two whom had requested that they tag along. For her sake, of course. For her safety. Yet, even still, every so often, Elsa checks her back. Examines her wake, the way her flowing cape of intricate design was cutting through the dirt, through the brush, leaving a very clear trail that stretched all the way back to her encampment. She could have sworn, she heard some kind of ruffling of leaves, shaking of the branches overhanging above her head. Some kind of animal sounds. Was she being followed? Well, she would be able to sense someone...something, if she were. Sense the body heat they radiated, pinpoint their very location, no matter how hard they might try to hide from her. But she never could make out any signs of life. There were no signs that someone was tracking her down, following her. Just the creaking of branches that swayed in the breeze, an afternoon light breaking through the thick canopy and scattering the forest floor with radiant beams of gold. Maybe she was just a little paranoid? With a shrug, the Snow Queen begins to focus on where she was headed, rather than were she had been. Where exactly was she headed? She licks her lips, finds them quite a bit more dry, quite a bit more parched, than she had realized. She needed a drink.
Luckily enough, this stream she had been following had grown to be so much more. So much grander. A river, breaking through the trees and creating something of a natural barrier between regions. Upon inspection, it looked clean enough to drink. Anyway, it wasn't as though she was going to get some serious disease by drinking from an unfiltered water source. Not anymore than she would have during her time up on the North Mountain, back when an unfiltered water source was all she had to rely on. Kneeling down upon the bank, Elsa dips her hands into the cool, crisp water. Enjoys the trickling between her fingers, before pooling up a bit between cupped hands and bringing it to her lips.
[It's fine. We've all got busy lives, it's completely understandable. ^_^]
